Relynx Requirement Intelligence
Relynx Requirement Intelligence is an Atlassian Forge app that analyses Jira issues with large language models and returns structured, reviewable feedback on requirement quality.
Relynx is an independent product with its own brand. It is featured here as a portfolio project.
Problem
Ambiguous, incomplete, or untestable requirements are expensive: they surface late as rework, misaligned implementations, and test cases that cannot be derived with confidence. Reviewing every ticket by hand does not scale.
Approach
- Analyse requirement text inside Jira, where teams already work, instead of moving it to a separate tool.
- Ask the model for structured output and validate it against a schema before anything is shown to users.
- Present findings as suggestions that a person reviews, not as automatic changes to the ticket.
Technology
- TypeScript
- Atlassian Forge
- Jira
- LLM APIs
Engineering considerations
- Platform constraints of Forge: sandboxed runtime, execution limits, and permission scopes.
- Deterministic handling of non-deterministic model output through schemas and explicit failure states.
- Evaluating analysis quality with representative requirement examples rather than anecdotes.
- Keeping customer data handling transparent and minimal.
